Theater Aan Zee (TAZ) is a theater and music festival in the Belgian seaside town of Ostend. In 2021, the festival took place from July 23 to August 8.
The festival presented more than 200 stage projects at no fewer than 25 outdoor locations and 12 indoor locations. TAZ was one of the first and also one of the largest cultural events that could take place again in Ostend after the COVID19 period.
With Caroline Pauwels from Brussels as guest curator, the bond between Brussels and Ostend was tightened even more than in the past. «Thermae Palace» became a hotspot – under the name «Souvenirs d' Ostende» – where the public was treated to a surprising breakfast or a «high noon tea» with tea, coffee and cake, cucumber sandwiches, bubbles or exquisite wine, but above all meetings and conversations!
For this occasion, the Brussels publishing house Plaizier asked renowned illustrators to make beautiful postcards about the Brussels/Ostend link. Cards to cherish, but especially to send en masse to friends and family: souvenirs d'Ostende - greetings from Ostend.
The concept was a collaboration between TAZ, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Thermae Palace, Plaizier and Coeur Catering.

Production elaboration and implementation of the location

Follow up and coordinate construction, dismantling and operation
Placing orders and performing quality checks
